Status io-error + TASK ERROR: can't lock file '/var/lock/qemu-server/lock-102.conf' - got timeout

Good morning
I am trying my exploration of PROXMOX.

I had a Ubuntu 20.04 desktop running on PROXMOX, I tried to install some third party software and may be because of the lack of disk space, it is showing Status io-error.


When I tried to shutdown, or stop the instance it is not happening.
It shows the message

trying to acquire lock

TASK ERROR: can't lock file '/var/lock/qemu-server/lock-102.conf' - got timeout

My intention is to shutdown the instance and remove(purge) the instance. But without shutdown I cannot, proceed for removing the instance

Like to update,
I tried stop option,
couple of times and it worked for me, but it took very long time to shutdown
