Status: enabled/running (pending changes)

Hello, I am new to promox. After installed, everything seems to work well. As a next security step went to enable Firewall (not on any VPN yet) but status keeps showing:

root@Orion:~# pve-firewall status
Status: enabled/running (pending changes)

Questions is:

1- Does server needs to be rebooted for firewall to complete instalation or be enabled?

Please advice, and thank you for your king help and colaboration

After many tries, decided to restart firewall service and voila!!! ... it worked, (pending changes) message stopped showing, firewall started working on node,. Test where successful Thank you "me"

# pve-firelwall stop
# pve-firewall start
root@xxxxx:~# pve-firewall status
Status: enabled/running

Problem now is that it only works on the node, but does not work on the VMs individually. What else needs to be done? Please note that VMs firewall has been enabled too.

You also need to enable the firewall on each VM network interface.

Hi Dietmar, but of course you are correct. Some times the obvious things are not seen. Enabled firewall on each VM network interface and volia!!! again, this time thanks to you. Appreciate your help and fast time reply
