Start task "logrotate" manually

is there a way to start this PBS task manually?

Hi,
no the logrotate task is executed daily by the proxmox-backup-proxy as scheduled task at around midnight. What is your usecase for this? If you need such a functionality, please open a feature request at bugzilla.proxmox.com.

Usecase is immediately cleaning up a huge /var/log/proxmox-backup folder filling up the root FS after inserting "task-log-max-days" to /etc/proxmox-backup/node.cfg
