Hi,

I have a 6 hosts cluster and never had any problem when i joined them. When I tried to join a new host last night, i kept getting error 500. after some troubleshooting, the new host can only ssh into 1 of the 6 hosts and the rest would just time out. I can ping to each other just fine. I'm totally lost at the moment. They all setup the same way with 2 links on separate vlans. Someone had mentioned that i might need to rekey for ssh but would i still at least get an error?

Re-key is a possible solution for authentication error. It will not help with a timeout.
Based on the information you supplied, my first suspect would be MTU inconsistency.

P.S. if you cant manually ssh between the hosts and receiving a timeout, its a network problem, not a software one.
