Hi,

i try to acces my servers via ssh with a yubikey. My client is a Windows PC. I guess my knowledge here is lacking. I found some instructions on the internet but nothing works for me so far. I get to managed to get a key on my yubikey with gpg. Also it is easy to creat a PIV certificate on the yubikey and set Windows to use the yubikey when it comes to ssh. I followed this one:

https://support.yubico.com/hc/en-us...ng-YubiKey-PIV-with-Windows-native-SSH-client

But the part i did not get to manage is to import the public key on my Proxmox server. I get an 500 Error when doing. I guess my public key hasn´t the right format. When i export it from GnuPG it is an .asc file. I guess there is the problem but i don´t know enough about this. Does anybody have some tipps or ideas to help?

I also tried this:

https://developers.yubico.com/PGP/SSH_authentication/Windows.html

but i didn´t find the directory .gnupg on my device to change conf file. Everything i found so far did not work for me, so i hope someone here already made it with a windows client and can help me out.

Best regards

I got it. You just need a Linux Computer to get the public key in the correct format. If somebody needs help here you can ask me for detailed instructions
