Hi,

have a Ubuntu 24.04 VM installation that doesn't show a lock screen when opening virt-viewer.
It only displays "Connected to graphic server".

After opening and closing a noVNC session, SPICE works normally again until it gets locked again.
Any ideas?

- spice-vdagent service is installed and running in the VM
- VM display = SPICE (qxl)
- UEFI, Q35, AC97

I got a similar issue but noticed a very weird difference.

Everything works fine when I'm connecting using spice://<hypervisor-ip-address>:<port> but I'm getting the issue you describe when using spice://<hypervisor-FQDN>:<port>. I also didn't find a pattern for when the issue appears and when it doesn't because most of the time, FQDN works fine. I already checked that DNS resolves correctly.

Opening and closing a working session (hypervisor-ip-address) didn't fix the FQDN session for me.

Also note that my report concerns a TrueNAS box hosting a few VMs and not ProxmoxVE.
This thread just came up on a search.
