Hi,
i have running a proxmox 7 enviroment with the current lubuntu dist. with GUI as linked VM. On the localmachine are installed from https://www.spice-space.org/download.html the virt-viewer and the usbDK. Then i connect on the localmachine a TP Link TL WNWN722-N. Open the SPICE connection and then i connect the Stick with the VM. All works fine, i see man lokal WLAN SSIDs. Then i connect to the WLAN. Test the connection, close, reconnect,... all fine, I finished my work. Close the client, shutdown the lokal pc. Next day the Proxmox System isn't longer connectet to the LAN. Ping localhost an own IP works Gatway not. The Networksettings seems ok. Couldn't find the problem. Seems that a networkconfiguraiton in a VM takes also effekt to the Proxmox host. Any Ideas what i should check. Where could be the problem?

regards
Michael

no it does not. the host has no idea about the network config of the vm

check the syslog/journa/dmesg of the host. also see what the output of 'ip link' 'ip addr' 'ip route' is

Hi Dominik,

Thx for the quick reponse. Here is the output of the ip commands

Best regards
Michael

Seems that my message is rubbish. It seems that the networkport has been died. I had boot the system with a livelinux and i have the same problem. Other Switchport, other netcable,.. no effekt. Funny that the WLAN Stick work and the hardwaredefekt appears at the same time. Sorry for the effort!
