Hi,

I have a problem with screen tearing when I'm using spice to remote access. In general, vm is fast but when I'm trying to move any window I see something like problem with refreshing / screen tearing. It is hard to describe, so I recored short video.

I was trying with different linux distribution (fedora, mint, ubuntu) and every time problem looks the same.

I'm not sure if this is really problem or just limitation of spice.
I'm using Virgl gpu and it work better then default, but still not perfect.

Tested it with Windows Server 2022. I don't have this behavior there. It's not perfect, but the image is not torn. I looked at the behavior with KDE Plasma (Kubuntu 24.04 LTS) with Nomachine Workstation. It is the same there. Not perfect, but the image is not torn.. There is also the delay over the network. That this can become quite fluid... I doubt it.
Because I also have a server with an Nvidia graphics card, where the behavior is even better, but also not completely smooth.

Sorry to revive an old post I wanted to ask did you ever fix this because I have the same exact problem. Using Virtio-GPU for the display makes it work fast like you said but leads to the screen tearing of moving windows.
