SpamAssassin automatic updates

I am struggeling to find a way to automate SpamAssassin updates.
Is this possible in general?

My current approach is to open the GUI and do the update there.

yes - and PMG does this automatically once per day - look at the pmg-daily.timer - and associated pmg-daily.service

would you need to run it more than once per day - and if yes - any particular ruleset/reason?

Thanks for the information - I'll check that later.
Currently I always recognize as soon as I open the SpamAssassing configuration page that an update would be available.

Okay this was the service I was looking for.

Is it in general possible to update the SpamAssassin version more often?
