You will need to perform more troubleshooting and provide more details in order to get more input from community:
- what is the IP of your proxmox
- what is the IP of your workstation
- output of "cat /etc/network/interfaces"
- output of "ipconfig /all"
- output of "ip a"
- output of "ip route" from your workstation
- more details about proxmox state when not working:
-- can you ping it from workstation
-- can you ping anything else
-- can you login from console
-- can you ping from proxmox to gateway (from console)
-- what is the state of "ip a"
- have you checked the network cable
- can you connect your workstation to proxmox with direct cable - do things start to work
