Someone please help! OVH ubuntu server configuration, cannot connect!!

I'm trying to connect my ubuntu server on proxmox to the internet, following this guide.

However, the guide states a 01-netcfg file, however I do not have a 01-netcfg file, here is inside my /etc/netplan


I then decided to try to config that according to the guide;

This did not work. Please someone help me!!!

Hey,

make sure your .yaml file is properly intended, the : in routes should not align, the start of the words however should. You can check it using something like [1]. Did netplan apply complain about something?

Yeah netplan apply spat out, I don't exactly remember since I did it in the middle of the night, but just straight up rejected it.

Is that the correct .yaml to be editing though? I don't have the config they're editing in the guide tutorial. I'm so confused because the file they're editing I don't have.


I installed ubuntu server and skipped networking setup to edit the config.

I have no 01-netcfg like they're editing in the guide.


Need big help on this.

The name of the file does not matter[1], netplan takes everything in /etc/netplan/ that ends with .yaml. Did you fix the formatting of your config file? Did it change anything?
