I keep having serious issues with installing PBS 1.0.1 as it disconnects me while I'm installing it.
ifupdown should be the culprit.

I do follow the official guide and then I launch
apt-get install proxmox-backup-server.

As it starts uninstalling ifupdown, it completely disconnects me.

Please see attached screenshots.
The image is the debian config before installing PBS.
Then I install PBS, ifupdown gets uninstalled and I get disconnected and there's no way to put it back online.

I guess this is a serious bug into the installation process as it never happened up to version 0.9

Thanks for any help

Hi,
were you able to solve the issue in the meantime?

PBS recommends using ifupdown2 over ifupdown, but it should not be strictly necessary. You can use the --no-install-recommends option with the apt-get command, to keep ifupdown instead.

Yay!!!
the '--no-install-recommends' worked out perfectly!
