We just got a new server today, however, I can't get it to recognize SATA drives unless I reboot the system. It has an EPYC 7443P installed.

The SATA configuration is on page 74 of the above manual and I have verified that SATA Enable is set to "Auto" and SATA Hotplug is set to "Enabled".

I'm running Proxmox 8.

I've opened a ticket with Supermicro, however, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas?

I've determined that it seems to be something to do with Debian as Proxmox 7.4 (Bookworm) and Proxmox 8.1 (Bullseye) both display this issue while UnRAID (Slackware) works correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

If I run this command from the Proxmox shell then the drives are discovered if newly inserted or removed if I physically removed them.

Having the "Reload" button in the Disks screen work though would be ideal.

for arg in /sys/class/scsi_host/*/scan; do echo "- - -" > $arg; done
