Hy all,

I'm struggling with installing a usb dvb tuner (dvbsky S960) on proxmox, to use it in a lxc container. I read to forum how to to pass trough the device. Everything seems ok, the /dev/dvb/ is available in the container. But tvheadend does not find any tuners. After looking a bit further, it seems the firmware file for the tuner is not loaded, the needed files are however present in the /lib/firmware folder on the host (& container), but they are not loaded (dmesg | grep firmware).
Am i missing something here? Any clues?

Kind regards!

I had running dvbsky a long time ago in an KVM. This was working fine. Sorry, no Experience with LXC and dvb.

Solved:
Instead of taking the major number from ls -la /dev/dvb, i had to look for the major of ls -la /dev/dvb/adapter0.
So, had nothing to do with seemingly not loading the firmware.

Hopefully it will help someone.
