Hello,

I'm trying to install FreeBSD on PVE using a passed-through nVidia GPU.

When I pass a KVM-modified rom file, or no rom file at all - the GPU brings the screen up but the installer freezes on EFI framebuffer information (see the attached picture).
When I pass an unmodified rom - the GPU doesn't power the screen at all.

Just to mention - Kali installed with the same GPU and same configuration w/o any issues.

Here is VM config:
agent: 1
bios: ovmf
bootdisk: virtio0
cores: 8
cpu: host
efidisk0: NVME_STORAGE:vm-101-disk-1,size=4M
hostpci0: 48:00,pcie=1,x-vga=1,romfile=ASUS-ROG-STRIX-nVidia-GTX1050Ti-GP107-KVM.rom

machine: q35

name: FreeBSD-VM
net0: virtio=EA:36:A5:67:F7:A6,bridge=vmbr0,firewall=1

ostype: other
scsihw: virtio-scsi-single
smbios1: uuid=84f412ac-11cf-4fca-ad0c-389a3700bc70
sockets: 1
usb0: host=3-1,usb3=1
vga: virtio

vmgenid: c73a9928-4df8-4f59-bee6-f334d635573b

Hopefully someone has an idea on this..

So, turns out after the monitor attached to the GPU freezes on "EFI Framebuffer information" - the KVM console takes over. I installed FreeBSD but the monitor still freezes.... That makes it unusable..
