Hello all.
I've just set up a cluster and am trying to move vms around. The vm's disk is on my shared storage pool nfs1.
If anyone has any ideas on what i did wrong, please let me know.
Here are the details.

The storage 'dpool' is not available on your target node. If a storage is only available on some nodes of the cluster, you can limit it to those in the options.

I get the fact that dpool isn't available on the target node. However, since the vm config doesn't reference dpool i'm confused as to why it matters?
Am i missing something in the config that's still referencing dpool?

Thanks.

When migrating it activates the storages, which can't be done on the target node in this case, because the storage 'dpool' is referenced in the storage config, but is not available on the node.

Forgive me for missing something here.

you say "because the storage 'dpool' is referenced in the storage config, but is not available on the node."

Why does this matter since the vm itself doesn't reference dpool in any way.

You also say "If a storage is only available on some nodes of the cluster, you can limit it to those in the options."

Can you elaborate on this or send me a guide on setting up the mentioned limitations?

Thanks.

If you edit a storage, you can limit it to certain nodes only. In the edit window top right. This way the PVE tooling will know on which node it can expect which storage and the migration should work.
