We are using a vendor that has socket 1366 (Gainestown Xeon/Nehalem EP) platform with Intel 82574L/82576 NIC however, that NIC is not supported by the stock Debian kernel.

Currently we are using a MB with a socket 771 platform but our vendor tells us that is going away.

Does Proxmox support the socket 1366 with Intel 82574L/82576 NIC or will it support it soon?

If not, can you list a newer MB with a supported NIC. We can always just buy a bunch of MB, use the vendor to supply cases and such things and slap them together.

We include the e1000e driver from intel (Version 0.5.8.2). AFAIK those cards are supportded, but I never tested it.

That is what I thought as well. I have had issues on ONE test box. I think more testing on the newer socket MB is in order.

Thanks for the quick response.
