I was trying to upgrade from the Beta .9 to version 1. I ran into a problem where I get grub but nothing beyond that. So I tried to continue the install by inserting a disk and following the tread that shows hos to upgrade from disk. Since my Linux skills such, I was unable to mount the CD using the following command:
mount /dev/cdrom /mnt

here is the error I get:
mount: special device /dev/cdrom does not exist.

Now I know it does because I booted to it. Here is my hardware config (A Dell Poweredge 860)

Additional info

What is interesting is that during boot up it says that i can go to my ip and configure the machine, but the web interface does not work.

One more piece

When I boot up without the CD I see this:
the processor, the memory the bash version (.97)
and then it tells me it is a minimal load.

List

I did follow the list and it seemed to work ok, so i was trying to follow the directions about booting from the CD and starting the pveboot. I just cannot mount the CD so i was wondering what the error meant so i could fix the install.

Yup

That was it. Now it works great. Man i cannot recommend Proxmox to enough people. My clients, paticlularly the smal ones, cannot get enough of it!
