Slow Samba access on AlmaLinux VM

Hi,
I am experiencing slow Samba (SMB/CIFS) access to one of VM which is based on AlmaLinux VM. Can someone point me in the right direction to start troubleshooting and assess if this is actually an issue or just a resources constraint?
