slow performance

i'm using 4 proxmox nodes and joining all to a cluster and beside them installing freenas on baremetal server with 6 red sata 2 hdd that give me 8TB and with zfs 6.
in freenas i configure a pool of hdd and zfs volumes after that share them via ISCSI , but when i installing windows after booting it makes time to load them, is there any advice ?

If i understand correctly, you're using a Freenas instance as storage, mount that storage in Proxmox and deploy VMs on it. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Here you need to take maaaany things into account:

1. RED drives, AFAIR, are 5400RPM (if not RED pro), which makes them slow. RAID6 is also not the fastest and depends on the RAID controller and file system (are you using ZFS on Freenas?);
2. You may need to test the Freenas performance. Depending on the hardware, it may not be as responsive as needed;
3. The networking may be slow. Are you using 1GB or 10GB network between your cluster and Freenas? Are you using cluster features like High Availability or replication? How is routing handled? It may be the case that network speeds are the bottleneck;
4. Do you have virtio drivers installed inside Windows? There are disk, controller and network drivers. The speed can be quite different depending if you have them or not.
