Good afternoon collective minds.
I am having issues, i believe with, network performance. When I conduct a iperf3 test, I am only about to get about 1.6gbps across my 10gbe homelab network. What I have done so far:
My highspeed network from my Proxmox was on cat6. it goes under my lawn and into my shed server room. Everything was negotiated at 10gbe according to unifi but my initial thoughts could be electrical interference as to why the speeds are lower. Since then, i have dug a run around my garden, run 2 sets of fiber and installed a 82599es x520 SFP+ nic to my proxmox server. To eliminate switch issues i purchased a Unifi Aggregation switch with a unfi rj45 module to my 10gbe network card in my PC. i have tried other branded rj45 modules too. Despite these upgrades, the speed is still similar. Drivers are all up to date, tried in Windows 10 and Ubuntu as the iperf3 client. Any suggestions?
Kind regards,
Dan
