Single node, change IP address

I would like to change the IP address of a Proxmox host.
It is not part of a cluster, but will be at a later time.
I found this guide: bobcares.com/blog/configuring-proxmox-change-ip-address-of-your-node-in-3-simple-steps/
Can anyone please confirm it is possible to change the IP address of a single Proxmox node with this method?

Well, I went ahead and did the change according to the guide and restarted the host.
It did not come back up online, neither on the new or old IP and was not PINGable.
I connected a monitor, cut and reconnected the power to the host and watched it boot up just fine with the new IP address.
So, after an initial feeling of it not working, it actually does seem to work after a cold start of the host.

You should change th IP in /etc/network/interfaces in vmbr0 or other bridge which You are using. Also, You should change IP in /etc/hosts to new IP.

After changes reboot host and try to connect by new IP

I did that, or rather I changed the IP of vmbr0 in the GUI. When I did that, the GUI came up with pending changes for /etc/network/interfaces and asking for a reboot.
Before rebooting I changed also /etc/hosts
Everything seems to work fine now, it was only the first restart that somehow failed.
I realize of course that this would not have been so easy if the node had been part of a cluster.

Just wanted to add to this thread a quick note. I use ufw on proxmox, if you change networks, check your ufw rules. Or other firewall rules.. I'd forgotten all about it.
