I'm running a test cluster on some HP T620 Thin Clients.
I activate S4/S5 Wake on LAN in the BIOS.
When I shutdown the node in the Proxmox Web UI, the LAN port LEDs completely turn off after shutdown so the Wake on LAN does not work.
Same with systemctl suspend
When I completely pull the power plug, then put the power plug back in, then push the power button one time, then immediatly release it, press and hold the button again until the device turns off, the LAN port afterwards still blinks it's LEDs in slow link mode (100 or 10 MBit/s). In that mode, the Wake on LAN paket can turn it on again.
Correction: just realized that this does not work when manually turning on the device using the power button. Only when I have set the "Power Restore" action to "Power On" and put in the power plug and then hold the button to hard power off again, the LAN port stays on
How can I shutdown the node in such a way that the LAN Port stays available for Wake on LAN?
