Hi all,

I have a 512GB Nvme drive in node1 that i used to create a directory (shared). I downloaded an iso to store on the drive for testing.

I then tried to access the drive on node2 and it does not work. It shows up but it does not show any information.

In the image you can see the drive show up in node1 but not in node2 (accessible)

any ideas as to what is wrong ?

"shared" tells Proxmox that the disk/share its looking at is available to all nodes, it does not make Proxmox to create share.
I.e. you need other ways to make storage shared _before_ you tell PVE that it should treat that storage as "shared"

Interestingly, i though something like that would be the case. I am busy mounting the drive to my smbshare and then going to try it that way.

Solution: Attached the drive to my smb share vm and simply mounted the drive using smb on node1 and gave access to all nodes.

is there any way to actually share the drive from within a proxmox cluster ?
