I like the idea of online migration but with 1.4 beta it tells me online migration isn't possible using local disks. I'm not certain what the method is for online migration now (it worked in 1.3 without shared storage), but regardless, I was wondering if it was possible to set up a box of disks and share them using iSCSI Enterprise Target. I realize that iSCSI storage is generally made to only be accessed by one host at a time unless it has special software handling the activity (like VMWare has).

Has anyone tried this? Can anyone recommend another method of shared storage to allow online migration? Perhaps just NFS or CIFS?

Thank you for your time.

We handle that correctly.

You can use iSCSI and NFS - both works without problems.
