I know I'm gonna get gonged for asking this, but I have been wracking my brain and overthinking this to an epic degree....I have a PROX server with 2 NICs, one pub (internet access ) and one private (basically a DCN/management interface). My dev PC also has two NICs, public and private
I have 2 drops and two switches at my desk to accomodate:
- Public: 192.168.1.X (internet) for pulling down Docker images, etc
- Private: 20.0.0.X (management) which is my "airgap" DEV network
And what I am wanting to do, it swap over the SFTP instance from the 192.168.1.X IP to the 20.0.0.X network so backups (that I download over SFTP) don't step on internet traffic...I have contemplated just schwacking the PROX box and reinstall with the 20.0.0X network address being the primary but am saving as a last resprt.
