Hello,
I have a PVE setup at home where im running a router, nas, plex ect..
I recently got a vertiv branded battery backup. It does come with software for auto shutdown but Im curious if anyone has used it before or if there is a "universal" ups software I can use for this?
"vertiv power assist"
What are your thoughts?

Thanks everyone!

Hi, have you already got the auto shutdown working? How has your experience been?

You could try "nut". That is supporting most UPSs.

Vertiv software is fine for a standalone PC, but not great for headless. Seems to work more or less the same as apcupsd, but in GUI form. Can be configured to do controller/worker, but again, needs the gui client. NUT supports very few Liebert/Vertiv models, didn't support the one I got so I sent it back and got an APC. Late on this thread, but figured I'd share the info.

Also, Vertiv holds all of their software hostage unless you log in and give them all of your (fake) info, which is pretty annoying. I inherently distrust companies that do that.
