Hello,

Hetzner forces all traffic that goes through their vSwitch to have MTU 1400. This is a huge pain in the a** as you can't do any netinstall, or you have to go back and forth with TTY (not all users are comfy with that).

Would it be possible to set the MTU to 1400 directly on the Network Device (via CLI, as unfortunately there's still no option for this in the GUI!) and set VirtIO as the model? Will this have any direct positive effect?

Thank you!

Hi,
I also use Hetzner. I found here on the forum what can be set in advance in CT and VM in the MTU-1400 configs themselves.
/etc/pve/qemu-server/100.conf and the line net0: virtio=D2:69:F9:B7:FA:6E,bridge=vmbr4000,mtu=1400
Previously, it helped to reset the MAC-address through the web interface.
