System Info

  • OS: Proxmox VE 7.1
  • Kernel: 5.15.102-1 / 5.15.107-1

Hard Device Info

  • Motherboard / Box: AsRock a300 ITX
  • BIOS: 3.16S (may be)
  • CPU: Amd Ryzen 7 pro 4750g
  • M.2 SSD: Samsung 980 500G * 2
  • SATA SSD: GLOWAY STK1TBS3-S7 1T * 2

Symptom Description

like this but Kernel 5.15.102-1 once a day and Kernel 5.15.107-1 happens frequently.
This phenomenon did not happen before April.

There is nothing to go on unfortunately. Try updating the BIOS and updating Proxmox and try the latest optional kernel, maybe?
thank you!

Since the latest BIOS of the a300 doesn't support the r7 4750g cpu, I can't update the BIOS.

I will be try latest optional kernel. But Is there any way to fall back to an older version of the kernel?

Even if this kernel cannot be solved by modifying the grub boot entry (an old version of the kernel needs to be installed)

with proxmox-boot-tool kernel pin you can pin a specific kernel version

Did I not select the correct motherboard on the ASRock website? How did you determine that the latest BIOS does not support your CPU? "Validated BIOS" just specifies the minimum BIOS version and later version should work (and probably better than your current one).

This URL is right, but AsRock has removed support for r7 4750g cpu in the latest version of BIOS.

You're right. It looks like that motherboard does not support your CPU. Maybe that's the problem? Maybe ASRock determined that it cannot work reliably.

EDIT: I'm sorry that this is not vert helpful. Maybe try upgrading your Proxmox and try the new kernel.
