Hello,
My Server restartet while a Kvm Backup was sheduled and running.
After the restart the Kvm did not come up again.
When i try to start it manually it does not really much.
there is an entry in the syslog :
Code:
Dec 4 23:10:31 srv pvedaemon[5172]: starting VM 101 on node 0 (localhost)
Dec 4 23:10:32 srv pvedaemon[5172]: VM 101 start failed -

Where can i start troubleshooting?

Thanks
Matthias

Got it
In the webinterface under Administration -> logs -> Task
i got the messages :
Code:
/usr/sbin/qm start 101
VM is locked (backup)
VM 101 start failed -
After a qm unlock 101 the Kvm started again.
It would be a nice feature when the server would do this itselve when starting.
A broken Backup is not so bad to me than an VM that does not start
automatically.

Now this VM is painfully slow, could it be that there is still an issue with the interupted backup (LVM by the way)
When i start an other machin whis was not in the sheduler it starts fast as usual.

Maybe the LVM snapshot si still active?

# lvs

Try to delete the snapshot.

I had no time to work more on this in the night. After several hours the
snapshot disapeared whithout any action from me.
Now the Vm runs as fast as normal

Hi,

we also had a crash of one node during backup. After rebooting the node all KVM VMs came up exept one. This one says

Code:
qm start 106
VM is locked (backup)

I checked and killed the snapshot, which was still there. But after killing the snapshot the VM will not come up again. It is still locked!
What can I do else?

Best regards,
Nasenmann
