Server not found in connected devices

I've successfully install Proxmox and I can access the web interface. I can successfully ping external addresses such as "8.8.8.8" I can also ping domains "www.google.ca" so the network seems to be working fine but I can't see the server on my router homepage as a connected device?

Is this normal behaviour?

You should see the server in your router. I would refresh the DHCP Leases page in your router.

Maybe he is using a static IP instead of DHCP. Then not all routers webUIs might show it.

Yes I am using a static IP and I guess my router was just being slow it eventually showed up. Thanks.
