Hello. We are considering deployment of a 4 node proxmox cluster using Gigabyte r281-3c1. We would be using LSI 9305-16i as JBOD controller. Can anybody confirm whether this server model is compatible or not?

Please note that an odd number of cluster nodes is recommended for production deployment.
As for hardware compatibility - PVE does not maintain its own matrix. However, PVE is based on Debian userland with Ubuntu derived Kernel. You can check here https://ubuntu.com/certified or ask your server vendor.
