I am a linux noob...and ProxMox noob.

Proxmox is installed, uploaded the server 2003 iso. Set up the VM, but it won't start.

Errors out as follows:

Could not access KVM kernel module: No such file or directory
failed to initialize KVM: No such file or directory
No accelerator found!
TASK ERROR: start failed: command '/usr/bin/kvm -id 100 -chardev 'socket,id=qmp,path=/var/run/qemu-server/100.qmp,server,nowait' -mon 'chardev=qmp,mode=control' -vnc unix:/var/run/qemu-server/100.vnc,x509,password -pidfile /var/run/qemu-server/100.pid -daemonize -name server2003 -smp 'sockets=1,cores=1' -nodefaults -boot 'menu=on' -vga cirrus -k en-us -m 512 -usbdevice tablet -drive 'file=/var/lib/vz/template/iso/server2003standard.iso,if=none,id=drive-ide2,media=cdrom,aio=native' -device 'ide-cd,bus=ide.1,unit=0,drive=drive-ide2,id=ide2,bootindex=200' -drive 'file=/var/lib/vz/images/100/vm-100-disk-1.raw,if=none,id=drive-ide0,aio=native,cache=none' -device 'ide-hd,bus=ide.0,unit=0,drive=drive-ide0,id=ide0,bootindex=100' -netdev 'type=tap,id=net0,ifname=tap100i0,script=/var/lib/qemu-server/pve-bridge,vhost=on' -device 'virtio-net-pci,mac=F2:17:F7:FC:E0:7E,netdev=net0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x12,id=net0,bootindex=300' -rtc 'driftfix=slew,base=localtime'' failed: exit code 1

Help!

What is the output of

# pveversion -v

And does your hardware support virtualization (maybe you need to enable it in the BIOS)?

The system is an HP SE1101 1U rack server with dual Intel L5420 CPUs. Best I could tell from the Intel site they support virtualization. Will have to run the pveversion and check BIOS on Monday.

The system is an HP SE1101 with two L5420 processors, from all I could find they support virtualization. I will have to check the BIOS settings on Monday.

Here is the output of the pveversion command:
