I have a node I am experimenting with PCIe passthrough on, trying to get remote gaming with parsec working.
its an r730, and I have 3 GPUs in 2x 1650, and 1 1050.
I am wanting to rebuild it from scratch, as a few of the experiments (vGPU) seems to have broken things and I want to start fresh, but when I go to reinstall, it appears to get stuck trying to load nouveau, which is annoying because I dont care. I cant figure out a way to blacklist it for the installer though.
I *think* its actually installing, but the display is completely mangled

this feels like a bug so I figured i'd log it. I dont see a bug report area, so this seemed the most applicable.
I have a few further ideas to try. i fugure it should work if i remove the GPUs and then install but that...sucks.
I also havent tried the GUI installer, as I usually use the terminal one. not really expecting anything better though.
this is all homelab so no datas are at risk here.

this also occurs on both 9 and 8.4

i believe I figured out the cause. I had HDMI dummy plugs connected and they are aparently very crappy. I was having major issues with the display drivers in the VMs (if i changed ANYTHING the VM would just be fubar, switching between the windows and nvidia drivers. seemed like it thought the nvidia drivers were crashing)

switched to some other dummy plugs I had and now the VMs work fine. I havent reinstalled proxmox itself but im pretty confident those errors will no longer occur. it would still be ideal if such a condition could be handled more smoothly but it seems like an edge case.
