Hi,
So I have set up a PBS to which my PVE backs up alls the VMs and LXCs (and one of the VMs also backs up via the backup client). The datastore is daily backed up to tape (a tape library with currently 5 tapes organised as a media pool).
Since I was still experimenting and trying to figure out the best way to set everything up, I have changed a few things a couple of times. But now, I think, I have found the best setup for my purpose.
But since I have been through a couple of different setups/datastores that I decided to remove again (after they were backed up to tape), I now have tape backups of a setup I don't have (and don't want) anymore along with backups of my current setup.
So my question now is: Can I selectively delete from tape backups of the old (and removed) datastores and only keep backups of the current datastore? Or do I have to format the tapes and just start over (since everything is still in the trial phase, I would not lose irreplaceable datat).
Thanks!
