hi,
i'm running an pbs with no errors, all works fine! now i have attach an USB drive to my server, add drive via zfs and got an new datastore. all fine, but now i want to store on this new datastore the backups i have already stored on the first datastore. maybe just the latest snapshot, so the external drive has not enough space for all the retention from the first datastore.
so can i add an auto-sync for just the latest snapshots from another datastore?

regards, volker.

EDIT: i have add an remote pbs and just connect to localhost, so i can sync the first datastore, but just the whole datstore and not an subselection of retention (the last X snapshot, or something like this...)... any suggestion to fit this problem?

EDIT2: oh, i have just change the prune/GC settings for me external-hdd datastore to just keep the latest snapshot. it still running, maybe this is the result to my problem... stay tuned...

Your snapshots get chopped into millions of small chunks and these get deduplicated and so the same chucnk is used by several snapshots. So I think its not possible to sync individual snapshots on your own unless PBS supports this natively. But I think PBS can't do that yet.
