Searching best practice for creating ZFS pool

I intend to configure a storage pool, based on a ZFS-RAID of 6 x 2TB disks, to be used by various thin-storage containers on it.

I read about adding a (SSD)cache-disk to my ZFS pool to speed up all drives?!
Don't know if this is really a good practice. Do you have some recommendations to me?
