Seagate 3TB Barraccuda fails on ProxMox 1.4 , 1.8

Attempted installing Proxmox VE 1.4 and 1.8 on Gigabyte GA EP45-UD3L mainboard and it fails booting.
Many have used it with Seagate's Disc Wizard for WinXP (on 2 partitions) and on Win7/Vista using EFI Boot successfully but not on Linux.

Any ideas?

1.4 went thru' the initial part of the install till copying files failed after all wizard questions like host, domain, etc were entered.
Thereafter, on booting again with v1.4 and v1.8, POST got stuck at:

Verifying DMI pool......

This has possibly to do with the native 512 Byte (MBR) sector and the pseudo 4K sector issue that Seagate Drives > 2.1 TB face.

OH. 1.X does not support drives > 2TB (because it uses MBR). This will be fixed in 2.0.

Returning the 3TB for a 2TB for now.

v1.8 installs on the Gigabyte board referred to above.
The graphis card used was:
pci express leadtek px8400 gs-512 d3-sflv-1
The entire graphic installer displays compressed to the left half of the display.

Hi,
i guess your graphic card use an nvidia-chip?! I had the same issue with nvidia-graphic cards only.
