control plane: (ip/mac exchange)

the controller (the frr service), distributed ip/mac through bgp to other controllers (with bgp protocol).

Then, the each frr daemon is pushing mac/ip locally in the vnet

dataplane: (traffic forwarding)

each vnet establish a vxlan to others vnets on others servers, and forward traffic to the correct vxlan (as the vnet bridge mac table has been filled by frr plane before).

The is the main difference between classic vxlan vs vxlan with bgp-evpn. (the mac are exchanged through bgp protocol, by the controller)
