Script-driven tasks causing high cpu on a proxmox vm

Hey everyone, I’m running a couple of lightweight automation scripts inside a Windows VM and noticed random cpu spikes and short freezes on proxmox when they’re active. Has anyone seen something similar with script-heavy workloads like rblx scripts causing scheduling or I/O issues? I’m wondering if this is more about guest os tuning, disk I/O limits, or proxmox resource settings, since it also seems to affect backups and snapshot performance.

Hi,

The scripts you mentioned can potentially cause some peak load.
Did you have a chance to investigate what exactly cause the load inside the VM?
In case if the VM I/O usage is high it also impact on the storage where this VM located.
So it could impact on a backups and snapshots.
