I was curios to try Scientific Linux 6 as Centos 6 has still not been released.

I found am openvz template here. I got it uploaded and running on our Proxmox server.

On trying to connect to the network I noticed that the IP address I selected for the machine was not showing so I edited /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-venet0:0
to change the ip address.

It picks up hard drive and memory changes via the web interface still.

Could this be an issue with the template, openvz or proxmox?

there is no configuration for this distribution (see /etc/vz/dists/).

if you start a container with this distribution just see the "Virtual Machine Logs/Command" for details.

Hi Tom,

I copied the centos.conf from /etc/vz/dists to be named scientific linux and the IP change from the gui works great now :)

Thanks,
Tim
