I create schedule backup every friday 00:00 time, but backup job finished with errors. If i run this job manual, job finished without error.
How can I solve this problem? Thanks.

Hi, any other ideas?
Yesterday I upgrade version proxmox 6.0.11 to 6.1.7. It didn't help.
If i changed backup mode stop to suspend, backup finished successfully.
If i manual shutdown VM(win7) and start backup in stop mode, backup finished successfully.

I noticed that if the virtual machine is turned on and doing a backup in stop mode, the virtual machine turns off and immediately turns on. And task error.

And if you do a manual backup (in stop mode) it does succeed? The error you are facing is that qemu isn't reporting back in time that the emulation is able to continue after the stop.

Yes. I choose this VM and click shutdown in UI proxmox, VM turned off. After I start backup (stop mode) backup does succeed.

The error you are facing is that qemu isn't reporting back in time that the emulation is able to continue after the stop.
I think yes.
qemu agent worked correctly (it's my opinion), but after shutdown VM, it should turn on after a while (example 30sec) INFO: resuming VM again after 49 seconds
But it's not a shutdown, it's just a reboot.

And task error
ERROR: VM 100 qmp command 'cont' failed - got timeout
INFO: aborting backup job
ERROR: Backup of VM 100 failed - VM 100 qmp command 'cont' failed - got timeout

No, I meant, if you trigger the stop mode backup just manually, what does happen?
Don't shutdown the VM first.

Ok, open the console of your VM and check what happens when you trigger a manual backup in stop mode.
