can a windows sbs 2000 physical server be converted to proxmox ?
as said in this tutorial http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Migration_of_servers_to_Proxmox_VE

Also if this fails will anything happen to the running physical server server?

If the physical server runs on IDE drives just clone the disk with clonezilla live ISO and restore to a new KVM.

(the mergeide.reg does not work for w2k, therefore the solutions with vmware converter fails here.)
