SATA for dvd drive appears to be restarting repeatedly

I just updated my box to 6.4-14
Linux virtual 5.4.178-1-pve #1 SMP PVE 5.4.178-1 (Wed, 30 Mar 2022 15:16:31 +0200) x86_64 GNU/Linux

After a while I noticed that the light for the DVD drive would blink occasionally and it never did that before. Looking at the system logs I see the following:

I'm not able to find anything in any other logs that would indicate what's going on. It doesn't appear to be causing any issues with virtual machines.

proxmox is installed on a nvme drive.
vms are on a SATA SSD, connected to ata5 (which is "up" only one time at boot in dmesg)
the dvd drive is on ata3, which is the one constantly restarting

Any ideas on how to check what's going on here? I've verified the last months of logs don't show this until today when I upgraded/rebooted it.
