Hello , i have a strange problem with SAS HDDS , first i tested with 2 x 300 GB SAS then i setup with 2 x 500GB RAID 1 , and after i finish the proxmox installation all goes just fine

but when i creat an machine and try to install an os into it , it takes ages , for example , today i installed freebsd in 1:47 minutes , when normal i do it in 2 - 5 minutes , this is an IBM Blade server and i do not understand , why he mess with the writed into the KVM image

for example i runn 3 machines for tests
so there where pauses beetween them before they execute each one the task, i have checked all , if i run a dd test on the hdd works with 500 800Mb/s but when i try to install centos/windows/freebsd instead of doing it normal it takes like 2 - 5 hours to complete , the images write so slow on the hdd , i have check the SAS configuration the disk are sync so something else is messing up with me but i have no clue what , any ideea sugestions?

Is RAID controller with or without BBU (battery)?

Can you run test with pveperf and post output here?

this is a different server with 75GB SAS hdds, same configuration sas raid 1 , i changed the hardware to check if is from it , and yes i have the same issue , all servers are IBM , something is messing up , me i reinstalled the first server with centos , i loaded manual kvm into it , and it works wow perfect , but me i whant to use proxmox not something else , this is my first time i had issue and i use proxmox from version 1.5 , and beside of network problems, i never had something else.

do you run ext3 or ext4? which elevator do you use? do you have write-back enabled on your raid controller? (BBU?)
