Sanity check before migration

Hey there! About to migrate to a new server for the first time and wanted to make sure my plan makes sense.

Setup right now consists of a vm with its root drive on local lvm storage. There's also a zpool on the host, shared via nfs. This provides storage on my proxmox data center, which contains a disk image, mounted in my vm. The vm (sans this storage) is backed up regularly to an external usb drive.

I want to physically transfer over my zfs storage, but reinstall my host and vms on a new ssd on the new server.

So my migration plan is as follows:
1. install proxmox on new machine.
2. export/import zpool, physically moving drives to new machine.
3. start new nfs share, copying name and original parameters from previous host.
4. add storage via nfs to proxmox datacenter with same name as on previous host.
5. restore vm.

Will this work? Will it allow my vm to access and mount the disk image as normally? Anything to watch out for?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
