[SOLVED] Safe to remove pve-zsync snapshots locally?

Hi,

We're using pve-zsync to backup VM's offsite with a longer retention. Ideally we want to keep snapshots on the offsite backup as long as possible, and locally only the last snapshot.
Is it safe to remove pve-zsync snapshots locally and keep them remotely? Or would this not be recommended?

Hi,
I think with the way pve-zsync currently works, it should be fine to only keep the last snapshot for each job. Because for sending the incremental stream, only the last snapshot is used as a starting point. But I'd recommend testing it out first.

Thanks for the reply. You are correct, we tried it on our development machine and its safe to remove all older snapshots keeping only the last one for syncing incrementally.
