Runninx proxmox inside proxmox kvm

Hi,

I vas trying to run PVE 1.4 inside a kvm running on 1.3 and that didn´t owrk, is it possible to run PVE insdie a kvm on a PVE. I know its not the best performance but as there are no usermanagement i thougt this would be a possible solution until theer are user management inside proxmox.

you can install Proxmox VE as a KVM guest inside. But then only OpenVZ works as the hardware virtualization is not available inside.

Ahh, should have thougt about that. Best of all would be user management so that it would be possible to assign vm to a speciefic user instead of giving root access to all users who would need to get console acces like windows os:es does. What is the timeplane for that that kind of solution if there are any?

This post is not to provide you a solution (I've never tried it by myself), but only some tip.
If you have a AMD cpu, nested virtualization should work. KVM team is also working for an Intel solution:

user management is one of the high priority issues here, work in progress but you still have to wait some time (as it depends on other cluster related functions).
