So if I complete installation from Debian, will rest of the configuration and environment remain same?

What is the difference between PMG appliance installer and this in that case?

Basically, once PMG got installed on top of Debian you'll have the web-interface available and can continue the PMG configuration from there.

The ISO installer is in general meant to be rather easy and quick, but also a bit less flexible, for example in terms of complex disk partitioning. That, and the reason that we explicitly base off the excellent Debian distribution anyway, made documenting a way of installing Proxmox Mail Gateway on top of an existing Debian setup reasonable.
