Running Client directly on the server

I'm wondering if is there any possibility of running the clients directly on the server.

Just for testing purposes, I'm not trying to make this like a final solution, since this is a debian, maybe if a install a X server, maybe a gnome desktop with some web client, I would be able to run local guests with local address, is this true? or its totally impossible to run things on the local server

I am not sure if I really understand what you mean - but Proxmox VE is a Debian Lenny system, so you can install whatever you want as long as it does not conflict with our packages.
